maybe he has enough supporting mods to beat a GT and the bet was if he won the other driver had to give him his emblems?
Thats what I would do especially if I had enough to take a n/a cobra

was your v6 a 94-98 model? they only had a 160HP lol...now ur GT in the pic came with 260HP out thebox lol.....what mods u got to the GT? whats numbers look like? i mean common since if u take the same amount of money that u put in the v6 and put in in the v8 ur 8s gonna be faster but the GT Stock is just slow...not all that like ppl say it is.....But it sounds good:good:

I think he had an 01, so he had 193 at the crank. In all reality, all stock v6's are slow as hell...0-60 times in the high 6's and 7's even more with autos, and 1/4 mile times in the very high 15's to 16's with autos...and I'm talking about 99-04 v6's, lol. I'm not going to mention the 94-98 single ports.

I've come to believe that no other vehicle has a bigger difference performance wise than the 99-04 manual and auto v6 mustangs. Same with the manual and auto GT's for those years. The autos are geared so horribly from the factory, it really kills the performance. That's why aggressive tunes are so key to auto cars.

Basically, you start modding a v6 effectively and you'll start to catch up to a GT...you start modding the GT and the v6 won't be able to catch up....same applies for GT's to Mach 1's, Mach 1's to termis...it's just the rungs on the ladder, unless you take drastic steps such as FI, and even then there's no guarantee.

sonic is right^. You say a GT is slow Zeb but the V6 is even slower, I love my V6 to death but if my parents gave me the option of a GT when buying there wouldn't have been any 2nd guessing that I would have taken it. But I dont complain cause they bought it and I am happy and thankful for what they got me, therefore thats why I mod the V6. Face it anything can be fast if you know what you are doing and want to put forth the effort to make it fast. Thats why these increasing HP ratings coming from the factory are going to have to be stopped somewhere or else everyone is going to have 600 HP cars by 2020, and then there will be no fun in modding cause there wont be anything left to mod...

At first I was gonna say "no", they won't be able to have 600hp factory cars by 2020 because of those new emissions in 2014, but at the rate they're going, looking at these 2011's, for example a 305hp v6 that gets 31mpgs, we might have 600 hp cars that meet the emissions requirements in the future :D

I am a firm believer in ANY CAR can be fast as you want it to be as long as you have the desire and the funding. Case in point.....a friend her in Austin has a 05 v6,slapped on a novi and was doing over 300WHP is a avid track guy. He recently got bored with the novi sold it,pull the v6,threw in a 5.4 w/forged internals, slapped on a KB and is hopin to see 600+ WHP when all said and done.

You get to a point where it not even about the year of the car anymore.Who gives a **** about factory #'s,there are fox bodies and even 40's coupes that will smoke they tires off any factory production car.So it comes down to what you do with yours, but you can't compare your modded car to a factory one and call it slow......well because it is compared to yours.

Did that make sense or am I just talking outta my ass again?

I shoudl do great at emissions I drive one of those hybrids, it burns both gas and rubber. :) now back to the badgeing. If i debadge my car and have it painted dark highland green with black stripes or the top half black. would that count as a v6 posing as a bullet?
